What Is The Safe n Sound Lanyard Alarm System?

Safe n Sound is a (LAS) Lanyard Alarm System design to prevent MEWP operators from not tying off to the platform anchor point. When the operator is ascending or descending the Safe n Sound devise will alarm if the lanyard is not tied off to platform anchor. Safe n Sound is to be used with self-retracting lanyard and full body harness.

How Safe n Sound works

There are three sensors that alert devise that lanyard is not tied off to platform anchor. The pressure and altitude sensors identify if operator is ascending or descending the angle sensor identifies if devise is hanging vertical or horizontal. If the devise is, hanging vertical and is ascending or descending the 30 dB alarm will sound.

What is the QR code on the Safe n Sound used for?

Safe n Sound includes a QR code that allows operator to perform a daily inspection of devise, lanyard and full body harness. Help keep your worker safe from accidently not tying off the platform!
