Safe n Sound is a (LAS) Lanyard Alarm System design to prevent MEWP operators from not tying off to the platform anchor point. When the operator is ascending or descending the Safe n Sound devise will alarm if the lanyard is not tied off to platform anchor. Safe n Sound is to be used with self-retracting lanyard and full body harness.

The Safety Harness has been around for 100 years. Started with a rope tied around your body and advanced to a safety belt. Body belts did save lives but clearly had their problems. If the lanyard was too long, you could break a back or dislocate hips. Even if the worker survived, how do you get him to safety?
